Lake Parramatta Open Water Swim

MSNSW is hosting a trial open water swim on Lake Parramatta on Sunday morning 21 October.
Entries must be submitted individually and payment made through the online meet entry system.

Limited to first 50 entries – $30 for members, $35 for non-members
No late entries
Registration and Briefing – 8:00am
Start – 8:30am
All swimmers in each event will start together.
2km swimmers will leave first, and the 1 km swimmers will leave in a second wave 10 minutes later.
There is minimal parking down at the park, but plenty of parking in the nearby residential streets.
It is a 1km course as marked in the diagram below, 2km swimmers go twice around the course
The large marker buoys are to be kept to the right of the swimmer in both directions, whilst the smaller buoys, marking the pool section, should be kept to the left of the swimmer on the return journey.
All swimmers must wear the allocated caps at all times.
All swimmers must have their registration number displayed.
All swimmers must enter at the area directed by volunteers.
No swimmer is to go past the yellow marker buoys near the dam wall.
Safety crews will be on the water – if you have any concerns raise your hand.
Entry and exit points can be slippery and swimmers need to take time and care when leaving the water – volunteers will be around to assist swimmers out.
Swimmers will finish the race in the water.
All swimmers must get their names checked off at the end of their swim.
Results will be posted and certificates available.
This is a trial event, please be patient and assist others where-ever possible.
The aim of the day is for fitness, friendship and FUN.
